Have you noticed? We've moved!

Ms. In Stitches looking around at all the things that need to get done in order to complete the move.

Lately, we haven't blogged much. Have you noticed? Well, there are a few things that have changed in the last few months. It was all a part of a strategic plan in an effort to better serve you. All of that planning wore out my brain and I needed a vacation. SO we hauled the family to Disney World after which I needed a vacation to recover from the vacation.

That vacation was long overdue...I procrastinated on taking a vacation because as a small business owner, it’s hard to identify a good time to take a break and leave your business baby in someone else’s hands, or even worse, closed until you return. If you’re fortunate enough to operate a business that you love, there’s a subconscious guilt that creeps up on you whenever you think the day to day grind might warrant a break. As a small business owner, you wear many hats and have to balance those different roles, like deciding if you the bookkeeper or you the customer service rep needs a break more. You constantly hear that if you work at a job you truly love you never work a day in your life and since you love your job, are you working and do you, the person who’s not working but following their passions deserve a break?

Well, I did need a break and that perfect moment finally identified itself because the team and I survived one of life's most stressful moments—we moved the business to a new location. In Stitches is now happily located on a sunny corner in Vallejo, only four short blocks from our former location and we couldn’t be more pleased. Our new shop offers ground floor access and windows! If you remember the previous space, you know this is a big deal. Our clients who have visited us at our new space seem pleased as well. This move is just the beginning of bigger and better offerings such as more classes, and ready to wear items to name a few.

We are still setting a few things in place so pardon us if we aren't as active on social media for a bit. We have hundreds of buttons, bobbins and fabrics to sort. We have already changed curtains THREE TIMES. We also plan to commemorate this big move with some sort of event. As soon as my brain recovers from vacation mode, I’ll check back to tell you all about it.
